Membership

The goal of the Membership Committee is to recruit and retain members by promoting the benefits of CACPR, and support activities designed to enhance/add value to member services.

Knowledge Transfer

Chairperson - Darren Warburton

 

 

The goal is to facilitate knowledge translation and continuous development of professionals in cardiac rehabilitation through varied means including the annual symposium, systematic reviews, web education, online resources, and guideline clinical tools.

CV Edge Publication

Chairperson – Warner Mampuya

 

The bilingual publication entitled Current Issues in Cardiac Rehabilitation and Prevention (CICRP) is written by CACPR members for CACPR members. Each issue translates current research into practice drawing upon the experiences of cardiac rehabilitation programs active in the area of each specific theme.

Research

Chairperson –

Ilka Lowensteyn

 

The goals is to encourage and foster research in cardiac rehabilitation by providing national leadership and focus in promotion and coordination of research initiatives related to cardiac rehabilitation and secondary prevention. The primary responsibility is to provide a peer-review of abstracts for orals and poster presentations at the CACPR Annual Meeting and Symposium and to select the annual winners of the Graduate Scholarship Awards.

Marketing

The goal of the Marketing Committee is to develop and pursue long term funding for the Association and its activities including the Conference, Canadian Cardiac Rehab Registry, webinars, systematic reviews and overall sustainability of the association. This opportunity opens doors for potential support for local programs through your efforts in assisting CACPR. No marketing experience necessary!

CCRR Data Transfer Verification

Sub-Committee

The CCRR Data Transfer Compatibility Verification Committee is responsible for reviewing applications submitted by organizations with electronic data capture systems for compatibility with the CCRR. The goal is to have compatibility between the CCRR and as many electronica data capture systems as possible so as to maximize uploading of CR patient data.

Volunteers for this Committee need not have an IT background, but rather be process and detail oriented in order to apply the established Data Transfer Compatibility Verification process.

CCRR Program Liaison Sub-Committee

Chairperson – Marie Hawkins

 

The CCRR Program Liaison Sub-Committee’s purpose is to provide support to and an avenue for feedback for CCRR participating programs. A value-add for CCRR participating programs, this Sub-Committee strengthens the relationship and communication between the CCRR and its existing and potential contributors.

CACPR Registry Project (CCRR)

Paul Oh

 

The goal of the CACPR Registry Project is to develop a national database of cardiac rehabilitation patient data to: enable CR programs to benchmark performance; to facilitate guideline adherence and in turn, improve patient outcomes; to build research support for CR program outcomes and to influence health policy. The CCRR Committee is responsible for the overall development, promotion and management of the CCRR.

CCRR Research

Sub-Committee

The CCRR Research Sub-Committee oversees all matters related to the use of CCRR data by researchers and the publication of work based on those data. This group is also focused on enhancing the visibility and revenue generating ability of the research program in order to sustain the long-term future of the CCRR.
